Stocking fillers for kids

Last updated: · Links and ratings checked 16 October 2026

The best kids’ stocking fillers keep them busy past breakfast on Christmas morning. That means games to play with the family, small builds and craft kits, not light-up plastic that breaks by lunchtime.

Games for the whole family

Dobble, UNO and Flip 7 all cost under £10. Children can genuinely beat adults at them, and each has thousands of ratings. Bananagrams (ages 7+) is a good word game for grandparents and grandchildren to play together.

Small builds and brain-teasers

The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Space Shuttle is under £10 and rebuilds into three models. The LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F1 car is a step up for older kids. Kanoodle and Rush Hour are screen-free puzzles that work well on long journeys.

For younger children

Crayola SuperTips felt tips and the Play-Doh Super Colour Pack are inexpensive, highly rated, and tend to get used up, which is what you want from a stocking filler.

Check each product’s age guidance. Some small LEGO pieces aren’t suitable for under-3s. Buying for older kids? See gifts for teenagers.
